    Call, text or DM with what you'd like and a few inspo photos. I'll suggest the right service and find a time.

  2. Patch test

    At least 48 hours before any colour, always. It takes two minutes and keeps your skin safe.

  3. Consultation

    We talk through your hair history, the shade you're after and how much upkeep suits you before anything starts.

  4. Aftercare plan

    You leave knowing which products to use, how to wash and when to come back, so your colour lasts.

I'm a senior stylist, and four years ago I started Blond. Hair by Donna so I could give every client my full attention, in a relaxed space where you can be yourself.

Keep your colour fresh

Why is my colour turning brassy?

Lightened hair naturally shows warm undertones, and hard water, sun, heat styling and harsh shampoos bring them out faster. A toner refresh fixes it, and the right products at home keep it cool for longer.

How should I use purple shampoo?

Once a week is plenty for most blondes. Leave it on for a couple of minutes, then follow with a good conditioner. Using it every wash can leave hair dull, dry or a little lilac.

5 ways to make your colour last
  • Wait 48 hours before your first wash
  • Switch to a sulphate-free shampoo
  • Wash in lukewarm water, not hot
  • Heat protection, every single time
  • Sleep on a silk pillowcase
Hair myths I hear in the chair
  • Trims don't make hair grow faster. They stop split ends travelling up.
  • Blonde hair can absolutely be healthy with the right care.
  • You don't need to wash every day. Your scalp adjusts.

Good to know

Where are you based?

My home salon is in Eastbourne, and I travel to clients across Eastbourne, Willingdon, Polegate, Hailsham, Pevensey and nearby. I'll send the exact address when you book.

Do I need a patch test?

Yes, for any colour service, at least 48 hours before your appointment, every time.

Should I get balayage or highlights?

Balayage is soft, hand-painted and low maintenance. Highlights are brighter and more even all over. Lots of my clients have a mix of both. Send me your inspo pics and we'll work it out together.

Do you only do blonde hair?

Not at all. Blond is just the name of my salon. I work with every hair colour and type: brunettes, blondes, grey coverage, cuts, blow dries and treatments.

How much does it cost?

It depends on your hair's length, thickness and the look you're after. Message me a photo of your hair now and the shade you'd like, and I'll give you a quote before you book.
